Will the Android app be brought to parity with the iOS app?

It seems the iOS app has all the features. Android just has the timer and camera. No recipes or customization.

  • Thrilled about receiving our June today; it's awesome!  Surprised and a bit disappointed about the lack of a full-featured Android app.  When will one be available?

  • Yes this is unacceptable, I bought the gourmet package when the 2nd generation came out which was supposed to give me access to the recipes, it didn't previously say iOS only.  I bought it because it said the Android app was coming in September 2018.  My 3 year subscription should start when the Android app comes out.

  • It seems that nobody at June is reading any of this. This "help" community is a graveyard.

  • I really don't understand how no one at June is able (or willing) to answer this question.

  • Perhaps you should post your questions in another section, as this section is for feature requests, not customer support.

  • No Gary, this is a request to add the FEATURES that the IOS app has, hence, "feature request."

  • Yes, you requested it.  Then you're going beyond the request and asking questions.  Perhaps you'd be better served if you simply called or emailed them direct instead of waiting for someone to respond here.

  • Perhaps you'd be better served not acting as forum police for months-old comments. You have no idea what other communications I've had with June.

  • agreed, it was a weird flex, why is gary so invested in protecting June.  I posted to June FB account about the android app a month or so ago and they said "Hi Mike - thanks so much for your patience. We are working on releasing something in the very near future which will allow anyone to access the Premium Cookbook. Look out for that soon. Appreciate all of your understanding!"

  • Mike, I'm not affiliated with June in any way, but I do own a June oven.  My personal opinions is that if you have questions, pick up the phone and call or email the company, so much easier instead of complaining on the very forum one claims isn't being read by the company staff.  What good will that do?

  • Jeff, then you should not have started a whole back and forth and ignore my comment. :)

  • Gary, lets be clear here on who first weighed in with unsolicited advice instead of ignoring a comment. Or maybe there's some rule you live by where you get to tell people what to do, but they don't get to respond.

For your information, I have communicated with June by other methods as well. But as long as there is a forum with a section specifically for feature requests, I'll feel free to leave feature requests there and, heaven forbid, have a discussion about it. There is no guarantee that June will respond here, but it is their forum, they put it here for a reason, and they do likely read it as do other June users that may be prompted to chime in as well.

Since you've advised me twice now on what to do, I'll return the favor to even up and say, you do things your way and let others be. I'll do it my way.

  • I would also like the Android app to work at the same level as the iOS app. It has already been enough time to sort this out and I feel that it is not a priority for them if they have not addressed it by now. Unfortunate and disappointing.

  • +1 for this request. It's quite infuriating that after so long the Android app is still so crippled when compared to the iOS counterpart. Today's release for "new cooking programs" made me wonder if it was finally a decent update, but absolutely nothing changed.

Are there any plans whatsoever that someone from June might be able to share regarding an Android app revamp? Any sort of ETA at all?

  • At this point we are going to need a lawsuit or something to get this company to actually respond to anything regarding this.  I bought it knowing that android features were limited but it said it was only a couple months away, it has been about a year now, still no update, no access to features I PAID FOR.
