The Proof Cook Mode is designed to allow bread dough to rise at a consistent temperature in the June Oven. The heating elements in the oven will run on an extremely low power, so the dough will never have the risk of overheating. The June Oven will maintain a steady temperature for hours, ranging from 80°F to 120°F.
Here are some tips to get started:
- We recommend starting your bread proofing at 80°F
- Cover a metal bowl in food grade plastic wrap and place on the bottom shelf
- The proofing time will range from one and a half to two hours, with the ability to apply fifteen minute extensions as needed
Don’t forget to pay attention to visual queues! It is still a good idea to keep an eye on your dough. If you do open the oven door to take a closer look, the oven will auto-regulate heat in order to get back to the right temperature.
