Oven Not Recognizing Thermometer or Displaying Wrong Temperature

June Oven may not be able to tell the Food Thermometer or Pro Food Thermometer are plugged in if the plug end isn't making proper contact inside the thermometer port. This may also cause the oven to display 32°F instead of the actual temperature.

If your oven isn’t recognizing your thermometer or is displaying the wrong temperature, try these steps:

  1. Confirm thermometer plug is pushed in all the way. You should hear a slight metal click sound when it’s fully connected.

  2. Clean thermometer plug end. If your thermometer plug is dirty, use a damp soapy sponge and wipe the plug connectors clean. Do not submerge in water. Dry completely with a towel before plugging back in.

  3. Try inserting the thermometer in different positions. Insert and remove the thermometer 4 to 5 times and turn the plug in the port until it has completed a full circle. This can help clear anything that may have been blocking the connection inside the port.
