When finishing the set up process on June's touchscreen, you'll be prompted to wipe down the inside of your oven before use. While not required, this removes any residue leftover from the manufacturing process and minimizes the chance your oven generates some smoke during your first cook.
To wipe down your oven, we recommend using a damp paper towel or cloth and wiping down the back wall, side walls and floor of the oven. Once wiped down, preheat the Bake Cook Mode to 500°F and run for 15 to 20 minutes. There may still be a little smoke and a slight smell as it heats up for the first time and this is completely normal. You may wish to open your windows or turn on the vent hood above your stove as you do this.
After the 15 minutes are up, your oven is ready to cook! You only need to do this the very first time you use your oven.
