Steam or Smoke Coming from Oven

You may occasionally notice steam and vapor coming from the top of the oven near the door. This happens when cooking high-moisture foods, such as roasting vegetables or toasting bread slices. Steam is a completely normal part of cooking in any oven and will not damage June.

If the vapor coming from the oven is much darker and can't be seen through, then it is most likely smoke. Food sometimes smokes when it is has overcooked, or when there is a lot of oil in the pan. Occasionally, your food make smoke when using the Grill Cook Mode at High Heat.

We recommend reducing the oven temperature, opening your windows, and let the fans in your oven cool it down. Once your oven cools down, use a warm damp cloth to clean the interior walls, ceiling, and floor.
